Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 29, 2026
1. Introduction
aMind ("we", "our", "us") is a guided cognitive reflection app developed by Franceschi Enterprises. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information when you use the aMind application.
2. Account Registration (Optional)
Creating an account is optional. You can use aMind without registering. If you choose to create an account, we collect your email address and a password. A confirmation email is sent to verify your address. We do not collect your name or any other personal information during registration.
3. Your Reflection Data Stays on Your Device
All reflection data — including thoughts, emotions, action items, cognitive transformations, habits, distortions, evidence analyses, and concerns — is stored exclusively on your device using on-device storage (SQLite on iOS and Android). This data is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
4. Limited Analytics We Collect
To understand how the subscription paywall is performing, we collect a small set of paywall-related events (for example: paywall opened, purchase attempted, purchase completed, purchase restored). These events are tagged with an anonymous identifier or, if you are signed in, your account identifier. They never include the content of your reflections. We do not use cookies, IP-based tracking, advertising, or behavioral profiling.
5. Crash and Error Reporting
When the app encounters an error or crash, technical diagnostic information (device model, operating system version, app version, and a stack trace) may be sent to our error reporting provider so we can investigate. This information does not include the content of your reflections.
6. Subscriptions
Subscription purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment details. We receive only your subscription status (active, expired, in trial, etc.) through our subscription management provider so the app can unlock premium features. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings.
7. Information You May Choose to Share
When you voluntarily submit feedback through the Help & Support section, the following information is collected:
- Your feedback message
- Feedback type (question, idea, bug, or other)
- Optional email address (only if you provide it)
- Basic device information (platform, OS version, device model, manufacturer, app version)
- An anonymous identifier (a randomly generated UUID stored on your device)
- A timestamp
8. How We Use Information
Feedback is sent by email to our support team at support@amindapp.com and is used solely to understand and respond to your feedback. If you provide an email address, it is used only to reply to you. Analytics and crash data are used solely to improve the app. We do not sell, share, or disclose your information to third parties for marketing purposes.
9. Data Export and Deletion
You can export all your reflection data at any time as a JSON file through the app's settings. To delete your local data, uninstall the app from your device. If you created an account, you can fully delete your account and all associated data from within the app at Settings → Delete Account. The in-app deletion clears your authentication record, subscription identifier, on-device reflections, and any cached entitlement state. You can also request deletion by contacting us at support@amindapp.com if you prefer.
10. Categories of Third-Party Services
We rely on a small number of service providers to operate aMind. We name them by function rather than by brand:
- Authentication provider — stores your email address and encrypted password if you create an account.
- Subscription management provider — receives your in-store purchase events from Apple App Store or Google Play and tells the app whether your premium subscription is active.
- Analytics provider — receives the limited set of paywall events described above.
- Error and crash reporting provider — receives diagnostic information if the app encounters an error.
- Email delivery provider — used solely to transmit feedback emails to our support team.
- Over-the-air update provider — delivers app updates to your device; receives basic device and app version information when checking for updates.
- API hosting provider — hosts the feedback and subscription endpoints described above.
These providers act on our behalf and are bound by their own data protection terms. We do not use advertising, profiling, or data brokerage services of any kind.
11. Children's Privacy
aMind is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
13. Contact Us
